Small Groups Avon Fundraser

If you would like to be a blessing to Calvary Temple’s Small Group Ministries please pick up an Avon brochure (Campaign 9) in the Corner Cafe or from Pastor Dawn. This is our spring fundraiser to help with training our Small Group Leaders. All orders must be submitted to Pastor Dawn on or before Wednesday April 16. Coloring Books Needed

We have an ongoing need for new “Fun Pads”, “Activity Pads”, and “Coloring Books”. These are being collected to put in the “Operation Christmas Child” Shoeboxes. The boxes are not shipped until November, but our goal is to prepare at least 300 boxes this year so we need to get a jump on collecting items. You may drop the coloring and activity books off at the Information Booth before or after any service or at the Church Ofice anytime. Thanks!

Need Silk Flowers

Do you have any silk flowers you are no longer using?  This is a great opportunity to get a jump on your spring cleaning and give them to us!

We are in need of silk flowers and silk greenery – LOTS of it!

Any color or type except poinsettias.

We will need them this week – on or before Wednesday, March 5.

We are looking for donations only as we will not be able to return them to you.

 

You may drop your silk flowers and greenery off at the Flower Table in the church foyer before or after any service, or you may drop them off at the Church Office anytime.

Keeping Kids Cozy Final Update

I want to thank each of you for your support and prayers for this campaign. Our count today as we loaded up and sent them away was 533 three piece sets, plus various misc, 2pieces with out scarves. In addition, in the offering yesterday we received enough money to cover the 45 sets we went and purchased Friday. WOW~! What an awesome God we serve. To God be the Glory. Thank you for partnering with us to minister to the children of our community. I just spoke with Nana a few minutes ago and she is so blessed by what our final count was. Because of your faithfulness, there will be children who will be warm this winter. Thanks again!

I couldn’t stand it…… I wanted to be at 400 sets so bad TODAY so…… Macenzie and I went shopping tonight. We had money that had been donated for this, and now we are at 404 three piece sets. To God be the Glory. I really believe that we are going to reach our goal of 500 sets. There is still a little bit of money that has not been spent and I am sure people will continue to bring items in this week. Thanks for your prayers as we partner together to make a difference in the lives of children in our community.

We are now at 315 winter sets with the school’s count included.

We’re at 300 Sets!

Just wanted to let you all know we are at 300 three piece sets right now.  I am trying to get an update from the school to see where they are in there count, but I wanted to let you all know where we are this week.  Please keep this in prayer.  We really want to get to our goal of 500 sets.  Let’s see what God does as we wrap this up in the next two weeks.  Thank you!

Status of Winter Sets and Kohl’s Donations

Many of you have asked where we are on our goal of 500 three piece sets (hat, scarf, and gloves). As of today we have 204 three piece sets and 48 two piece sets. (What this means is we need 48 scarves to complete those sets.) The School started their campaign last week and I have not got and update from them yet. It is so awesome to see how God is using our church/ school to minister to the needs of our community.

By the way, Kohl’s was not able to get the volunteers we needed for Breakfast with Santa to get us the donation that would have gone for this. However, I am considering seeing if Hope Thrift could use the volunteers in January and this would work better for Kohl’s with the Holiday season. We would still get the donation at that time.
